Tasting Box: Red wine from Istria

Known among holidaymakers, Istria also has the perfect terroir to produce particularly fine red wines. In this tasting box you get from winery Medea de Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and the native Teran. And two of each, of course, because you cannot stand on one leg.

Content: 3x 2 bottles red wine

• 2x Medea Merlot. A red wine for everyone with lots of fruit and a beautiful balance with the light spiciness and the soft pleasant tannins. Gastronomically, this soft wine goes well with a nice steak or other meat dishes, risotto with meat and mushrooms, poultry and the wine is, slightly cooled, also delicious with salmon steak. But above all, this is an excellent red aperitif wine.

• 2x Medea Teran. The well-known indigenous grape from Istria. The wine is very fruity with fine acidity and very soft tannins. This award-winning and affordable Teran has many gastronomic options. Due to the delicious freshness, the wine can handle slightly fattier dishes. Furthermore, the wine goes perfectly well with game dishes, red meat, pasta with truffle, dried ham and cheeses.

• 2x Medea Cabernet Sauvignon. This soft and pleasant Cabernet Sauvignon is loved by everyone. The wine is fresh, not too high in alcohol, full-bodied and balanced. The fruitiness of ripe plums and wild berries is striking. The subtle spiciness and soft tannins make the wine very pleasant. Nice as an aperitif and it goes well with cheeses, meat and vegetarian dishes.
