The story behind this wine

This fresh, characterful Chardonnay hails from Slavonia, an inland wine region in eastern Croatia. Far from the touristy coast, but rich in winemaking heritage. Feravino, based in the village of Feričanci, cultivates 160 hectares of vineyards and proudly calls itself “the biggest of the small producers”. While Chardonnay is an international grape, it has local roots too — one of its ancestors is the old Stajerski Belina from this very region.

Taste and style

Bright gold in colour, this wine offers citrus, ripe apple, floral notes and a delicate touch of nuttiness on the nose. On the palate: juicy grapefruit, citrus freshness, minerals and a hint of white pepper. The finish is vibrant with gentle bitters and elegant nutty nuances. Stainless steel fermentation keeps the style clean and precise.

Food pairing

This is a versatile food wine, ideal for summer days or refined pairings. Serve with smoked eel, crayfish or prawns, pasta al limone or pesto. Also delicious with beetroot and dill salad, avocado, or (smoked) chicken and turkey.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C
