Grape: 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Frankovka (also known as Blaufränkisch among wine connoisseurs)
Taste: The color of the wine is bright salmon pink. The taste is soft and mineral with nice aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, red currant and very light sage notes. The wine is nice and dry with lots of berries. The finish is fresh and creamy at the same time with a hint of red currant juice.
Serve with: This rosé can absolutely be served as an aperitif, but is also gastronomically versatile, with cold starters, salads and dishes of white meat and fish specialities. And this wine is also very surprising with desserts if the dish is not too sweet.
Ideal serving temperature: 10-12 degrees Celsius.

Details: The position where the grapes grow is called Mataruge and the name Matarouge with an 'o' in between is a nod to the colour of the wine.
