The Aria from Vina Skaramuča is a new white wine from winery Skaramuča made from two special indigenous Dalmatian grapes.
It is the first time that this winery makes a blend of two varieties. Aria is literally translated from Latin: refreshing air.
Winery: Vina Skaramuča
Region: Peljesac, Dalmatia
Grape: Pošip and Rukatac (aka Maraština).
Taste: Aria is a crispy fresh wine with lots of citrus, lemongrass and a little orange zest. It is a light wine with nice lively acidity. The fruitiness of the cuvée is due to the rukatac grape and makes this a wonderfully fresh invigorating blend.
Serve with: This wine is delicious as an aperitif, but also goes well with many fish dishes, seafood and white meat. The wine, like its big brother made only from the Pošip grape, can handle quite a bit, in terms of spiciness, fatness and intensity.
Alcohol percentage: 13.5%
Ideal serving temperature: 12°C.
