A groundbreaking blend of Pošip and Rukatac

Aria is a remarkable white blend from the renowned Skaramuča winery, located on the sun-drenched Pelješac peninsula in Croatia. For the first time, the indigenous grape varieties Pošip and Rukatac have been combined in a single wine, a bold innovation introduced by the new generation of the Skaramuča family.

A breath of fresh air in the Croatian wine scene

The name Aria, meaning ‘fresh air,’ symbolises the modern touch that the younger generation brings to the rich winemaking traditions of Dalmatia. This elegant white wine boasts vibrant freshness, ripe citrus and stone fruit aromas, and a subtle minerality – perfect for those who appreciate refined, characterful wines.

Perfect food pairings

Aria is the ideal choice for those looking to explore the unique flavours of Croatia. It pairs beautifully with seafood, light pasta dishes, or simply as a refreshing drink on a warm, sunny day.

Winery: Vina Skaramuča
Region: Peljesac, Dalmatia
Grape: Pošip and Rukatac (aka Maraština).
Vintage: 2022
Taste: The fresh citrus scents hit you as soon as you open the bottle. We also smell fresh lemongrass and orange peel. It is a really exciting fragrance with white rose and white pepper. The taste is also very fresh, lively and slightly creamy. In the aftertaste you get fine minerals with that white pepper again and a hint of cinnamon and honey. All in all a nice exciting and fresh blend.
Serve with: This wine is delicious as an aperitif, but also goes well with many fish dishes, seafood and white meat. The wine, like its big brother made only from the Pošip grape, can handle quite a bit, in terms of spiciness, fatness and intensity.
Alcohol percentage: 13%
Ideal serving temperature: 12°C.
