Medea Malvazija Brut

This sparkling wine is made on the charmat method of Istarska Malvazija. It is a nice fresh drinkable brut for every day.

Vinification: This sparkling wine is made according to the charmat method. The grapes were picked by hand in mid-August and after fermentation under controlled conditions at 13°C, the wine matures for three months on yeast (sur lie method), followed by bottling. So it is a fairly fast production process.
Taste: This light greenish wine has nice yeast aromas in the nose. Then following flavors and aromas of minerals, apple and pear. The wine has beautiful acids and a very fine mousse with very fine pearls. The finish is long and soft, which makes this wine a delicious appetizing aperitif.
Serve with: Medea brut is a wonderfully refreshing aperitif, but can also have a nice cleansing effect halfway through a menu. The wine also goes well with (green) asparagus and shellfish, but also goes well with a tasty ham or a chicken burger.
