Late Summer Wine Tasting Set – from summer into autumn

The Late Summer Wine Tasting Set contains six Croatian wines selected for the transition from summer to autumn. Three characterful whites and three juicy reds build from fresh and fruity to fuller and spicier, without becoming too heavy.

Still a taste of summer, with autumn on the way

Summer isn't quite ready to say goodbye. September can still bring plenty of sunshine and warmth, but the evenings are getting longer and we slowly start craving wines with a little more body, ripe fruit and spice. That's exactly the moment we created this Late Summer Wine Tasting Set for.

We start with three white wines. The fruity Jakovac Cuvée Blanc keeps that summer feeling alive, Bolfan G brings a little more ripeness and depth, while the Mediterranean Skaramuča Aria Cuvée, with its fuller character, forms a beautiful bridge towards autumn.

Then we move on to red, but deliberately stay away from the heavier wines of winter. Medea Teran is fresh, juicy and spicy, Enosophia Dika Frankovka is bursting with dark fruit, and Skaramuča Plavac rounds off the set with plum, sour cherry, bay leaf and white pepper.

As you taste your way through the set, the character of the wines gradually changes too: from fresh and fruity to riper, warmer and spicier. Six Croatian wines for those wonderful weeks when summer isn't quite over and autumn is slowly beginning to make an appearance.
