Bolfan Sauvignon Blanc – Biodynamic white wine from Croatia

Temporarily back: a distinctive Sauvignon Blanc

Every now and then, a special opportunity comes along. Thanks to a great deal our importer was able to make with Bolfan winery, we can temporarily offer the 2024 vintage of this Sauvignon Blanc again.

And we are delighted to have it back. The grapes grow in the cool hills of Zagorje in northern Croatia, where Bolfan works organically and according to biodynamic principles.

Crisp, tropical and mineral

An expressive Sauvignon Blanc with citrus, grapefruit, mango and tropical fruit, complemented by green herbs and a subtle hint of green pepper leaf. On the palate it is dry, juicy and wonderfully fresh, with lively acidity and a distinct mineral character.

Its quality has also been recognised internationally: the 2024 vintage was awarded a silver medal at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon 2025.

Delicious with fish, sushi and goat's cheese

Its fresh acidity and herbal character make this a lovely match for grilled fish, shellfish, sushi and smoked salmon. It also works beautifully with young goat's cheese, salads, asparagus and lighter dishes with chicken or fresh herbs.
