Graševina is the most widely represented grape variety in Croatia and it is the country’s most famous white wine. It is a fresh, dry and very enjoyable wine.
Winery: Feravino
Region: Slavonia
Grape: Graševina (also known as Welschriesling)
Vintage: 2020
Harvest: The grapes are picked by hand to ensure the quality of harvest and are then sorted out before getting into the winery.
Vinification: In stainless steel vats with temperature control system.
Taste: This wine is pleasantly uplifting, fresh, light, floral, well structured and harmonious with aromas of green apple and fine scents of linden blossom. The wine has developed very nicely over the years. The wine still has beautiful acids. The characteristics of the wine are all still present and have become somewhat deeper and fuller. The apple aromas have gone more towards apricot, the wine has become more buttery and the bitters at the end have changed into creamy ripe apple.
Serve with: Graševina matches charcuterie, specialties of white meat and fresh-water fish. Furthermore it is absolutely delicious with oysters and pairs surprisingly well withe a cheese platter.
Serving temperature: 8-12 graden Celsius.
Alcohol percentage: 12%
Extra information: This wine is one of our Cellar Treasures, but please note that there is still very limited stock and it's gone when it's gone.
