Remember that octopus salad by the sea, the delicately grilled white fish with blitva, pasta with truffles in Istria and pašticada that had been slowly cooking for hours? And of course that small glass that appeared with the bill. With this tasting set, you can bring six flavours of your Croatian holiday back home.
The suitcases have long been unpacked and the holiday photos are now on your phone. But some flavours can take you straight back. To that terrace by the sea, the little konoba you happened to stumble across, or that restaurant you are still talking about.
That is why we have brought together six Croatian wines, each linked to a typical holiday moment. From a crisp white wine on the terrace to Teran with Istrian truffles and powerful Plavac Mali with pašticada. And to finish? Bolfan Zagorski Bregi 2025 – that crisp aperitif on the terrace
Cool, fresh and aromatic. The kind of white wine you order while the sun is still shining and you are deciding where to eat later that evening. The blend includes Graševina, Croatia's most widely planted grape variety. Bolfan wines can also be found in wine bars and restaurants along the Croatian coast.
Vina Carić Cesarica 2025 – that delicately grilled fish with blitva
A beautiful piece of white fish from the grill, a drizzle of good olive oil and blitva on the side. Sometimes, a lunch or dinner by the Adriatic really does not need much more. Cesarica comes from Hvar and is made from five local grape varieties: Bogdanuša, Pošip, Maraština, Prč and Muškat Žuti.

Octopus, potato, olive oil and fresh herbs, with a chilled glass of Pošip alongside. It is almost like a postcard from a holiday on the Dalmatian coast. The ripe fruit and fresh structure of Pošip pair beautifully with the Mediterranean flavours of the dish.

If you have spent a holiday in Istria, you have probably tasted its famous truffles. In pasta, with steak or perhaps freshly shaved over a dish. Teran is a natural match. This distinctive red wine from Istria has the freshness, spice and earthy character that work so well with truffles.
Skaramuča Plavac Premium – that slow-cooked pašticada
Beef cooked for hours in a rich, aromatic sauce. A classic Dalmatian dish like this calls for a red wine with body. Plavac Mali is the great red grape of Dalmatia, and this Plavac Premium has the power and Mediterranean warmth to stand up beautifully alongside it.

You ask for the bill and a moment later, a small glass suddenly appears on the table. Sweet, rich and typically Dalmatian. In Croatia, this traditional wine is commonly known as Prošek. Because of European naming regulations, we officially sell it here as Vino Dalmato. But you may recognise the taste straight away...
