Jubo'v is a unique blend of the indigenous grape plavac mali mixed with merlot, syrah and cabernet sauvignon. This red wine won double gold at the Balkans International Wine Competition 2022.
Read more...Description: Jubo’v is a red wine made from a rarely seen combination of grape varieties. The Plavac Mali grape is known for rich tannins. Because of this blend, the wine is more rounded and accessible.
The wine is made from grapes from the north of the Adriatic island of Hvar. The terroir of these vineyards provide, by the composition of the soil and microclimate, grapes of exceptional quality, which are very different from the grapes of the south side of Hvar.
Grape: Plavac Mali, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vintage: 2021
Taste: The wine is dark red in colour. The taste is mild and dry. The balanced blend gives the wine light tannins and makes it very easy drinkable.
Serve with: Pastas, squid risotto or barbecue dishes.
Serving temperature: 18 degrees Celsius.
Alcohol percentage: 13,8%.
Extra information: This wine has won a bronze medal at The International Balkans Wine Competition.
The wine's name is a combination of the name of the son of the winemaker Ljubo (Jubo in dialect) and the Croatian word for love: Ljubav.
