It's here, the Sturdy Plavac Box for everyone who likes robust, full-bodied red wines. In this box you get six full-bodied red wines, all made from the Plavac Mali grape. A unique gift for friends, family or just for yourself. Because you're Worth It.

This grape variety is an ancient brother of the Italian Primitivo and the Californian Zinfandel. All these grapes come from the native Croatian grape Crljenak Kaštelanski. Hardly any wine is made from this grape, but in Dalmatia people mainly make wine from the Plavac Mali.

Literally, Plavac Mali means 'Little Blue'. So they are very small grapes that have to work very hard to produce a little juice. Because they are very small grapes, they have a lot of skin and therefore a lot of tannin. In combination with the concentrated juice, this produces very robust robust wines.

This discount box contains six full Plavac Mali wines.

  • Skaramuča Plavac, from the famous Peljesac peninsula, just north of Dubrovnik.
  • Skaramuča Plavac Premium, made from the 'blue Plavac' mixed with 30% grapes from the protected Dingač region.
  • Vina Carić Plovac Ploški, the Plavac Mali wine served in the three-star restaurant Librije.
  • Vina Carić Plovac Ploški Barrique, the big brother of the above-mentioned wine, 'best of show' at the Balkans International Eine Competition.
  • Skaramuča Dingač, the king of red wines from Dalmatia from the steep slopes right by the sea in the protected region of Dingač [pronounciation: Ding-gaatch].
  • Skaramuča Dingač Reserva, The big brother of the other Dingač. The grapes for this wine ar grown the closest to the sea and the wine was 3 months longer in barriques.
