Kabola - Kabola Teran

Kabola Teran is a beautiful, full-bodied ruby-red wine made from the indigenous Teran grape variety of Istria. A characterful red wine with ripe dark fruit, fresh acidity and spicy notes. Delicious with game, red meat and, of course, truffles.

Wine columnist Barbara Verbeek wrote about this wine in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: "The wine in my glass was full, pure and robust. Sexy, fresh and voluptuous. Rich cherry jam with vanilla and seductively delicious."

Vinification: After a long maceration of 30 days, the wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
Taste: Teran is an ancient indigenous grape variety from Istria. The wine has a lively and bright violet-red colour. First you get beautiful scents of cherry jam, vanilla and leather. The wine is fresh with nice acidity and abundant flavors of (amarena) cherries and berries. The finish is long and layered.
Serve with: This wine goes perfectly with game dishes, red meat with truffles, pasta with truffle and dried hams.
Serving temperature: 16-18 degrees Celsius
Alcohol percentage: 13%
Additional information: Kabola's own vineyards and grape production are certified organic. However, due to the use of a small quantity of conventionally produced wine from a contracted grower, this wine as a finished product is not covered by organic certification and does not carry the EU organic logo.
